About Jake
I am a qualified teacher at TEFL who has experience teaching children and adults at all levels, both individually and in groups. As well as teaching English, I was also an instructor at the Portsea Surf Lifesaving Club, where I taught both cadet camp and bronze camp, with students between 13 and 30 years old. Before becoming an English teacher, I worked in the business sector after completing my bachelor's degree in biological sciences and my master's degree in marketing.

I am a native English speaker from Australia, who believes each English class should be enjoyable, fun, interactive and dynamic. I believe that each class should involve a lot of conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. This class environment is created through the personalization of each class. I am part of a teaching community that has built a system where textbooks are not used, rather an online hub has been created where each class, different topics, and activities can be picked and tailored to specific needs, allowing for a great learning experience.
