About Simone
I recently completed my TEFL UK course which qualifies me to teach both adults and children from all demographics. Prior to this course, I was working as a paraeducator in a middle school in San Francisco, California, USA. Basically, I helped 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students in their classrooms, who had learning issues, on a one-on-one basis. Before that I was a substitute teacher. I began my career as a preschool teacher and have five years of experience in that field. Personally, I enjoy writing. I have published three science fiction novels and am working on the fourth. I have a master's degree.

I use the PPP method of student-centered teaching. The technique starts with a lead-in, such as a fun activity or game, to get you ready for the lesson. Presentation is how I introduce the lesson. The teacher and student explore the new concept together in a clear and engaging way. Practice comes next. I share my knowledge through a guided practice of the new concept. Production is the last step. I give the student a chance to be creative and show their understanding of the new concept. As a Tutor, I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of my students. I am open to teaching people of all ages.
