About Antonio

I'm a communication expert, trained to craft compelling messages and deliver them in style.

I have a background in high-profile journalism, with substantial experience across national television, radio, and newspapers in Portugal and the UK. And I am currently completing a PhD at the University of Cambridge, where I research and teach the work of some of the great communicators of the past.

In my sessions, I bring the academic expertise of a Cambridge tutor and the sharp insight of a seasoned journalist. The sessions are crafted for clients who demand excellence, whether you’re preparing a high-stakes presentation, facing a critical deadline for a university essay, or looking to boost your success in an audition. This is communication at its most refined, designed for those who value precision, insight, and results - both under pressure and long term.

About the lesson

I can help with my three main areas of expertise:

Public Speaking: presentations, speeches, conferences, etc. We’ll work together to amplify your strengths and develop a style that captivates. My coaching will refine your presence, gestures, vocal tone, and pacing, allowing you to engage audiences with charismatic authority. Together, we will make sure you leave a lasting impression.

Media Training: interviews, press conferences, public statements, etc. I can help you enhance your on-camera presence and refine your response strategies. You’ll gain the skills to appear both credible and approachable, handling challenging questions, adapting to different media formats, and maintaining control over your narrative.

Communication Skills: networking, dating, social life, sales, etc. I will coach you with regards to approach strategy, physical presentation, body language, impactful speech, control of message, vocal tone, and other key aspects of successful communication. We’ll develop a customised strategy to ensure your ideas resonate with clarity and conviction. And you’ll leave with practical techniques for building rapport, inspiring trust, and driving effective conversations in specific contexts.

I first met Antonio through a colleague who recommended him as the person to go to for media training. I had a couple of sessions with him with the aim of preparing for a business event back in Sweden which I was somewhat stressed about, as I was meant to be giving a speech in front of a live audience. The experience with Antonio was fantastic, both in terms of his public speaking expertise (he is a former TV presenter and really knows his stuff) and the level of empathy and attention he brought to the sessions. I have no issues in offering my highest recommendation.
