I am a native English speaker with a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL). I have experience teaching ESL and EFL in the United States, Italy, and Japan. I can provide tutoring in English for any level, from beginner to advanced. The focus of the lessons will depend on your individual goals and interests, which I will be happy to discuss with you. We can work with any materials that you might have, and I am also happy to suggest learning resources. In my lessons, I like to use authentic content when possible, as I think it makes learning English both fun and relevant to the real world.
I have taught ESL in different academic environments in the United States, Italy, and Japan. I have a Master's in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL), a Master's in Italian, and hold two Bachelor's degrees in History and Italian.
I love studying foreign languages: I am fluent in Italian, have a working knowledge of French, and am currently learning German. Learning other languages has helped me understand the process of language acquisition; it enables me to better assist and motivate students who are interested in improving their English. Teaching English and learning other languages also gives me opportunities to meet people from all over the world and learn about different cultures, which is fantastic!
