About Jen

I went to UC Berkeley for my undergrad and UCLA for my MA/PhD. With zero prep, I earned a 1500 on the SAT and a 34 on the ACT. I teach students how to think. I taught university and high school courses. I've been teaching and tutoring since 2010. I wrote many scholarship and grant applications and received every single one I applied to... including the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. If a student needs help with a subject or project not listed, please reach out anyway. It may be in my areas of expertise, and I also have several colleagues to whom I can refer you.

Details

In my extensive experience, high school and college students require a 2-hour session to get the most benefit from tutoring. If they are prepping all sections of a standardized test, they need one 2-hour session per test section weekly. In-person sessions are typically best.
