About Julie

For more than 20 years, I have dedicated myself to learning, developing the art and craft of songwriting.
My journey has taken me through different styles, experiences, and creative spaces, writing songs in both English and Spanish for a variety of recording artists, while also creating and performing my own original music as a recording artist.

I’ve experienced songwriting from both sides of the creative process—not only as a writer crafting songs for others, but as an artist bringing my own words and melodies to life in the recording studio and on stage.

About the lesson

This is an immersive learning experience designed for aspiring songwriters, recording artists, musicians, poets, and creatives who are serious about developing their writing ability.
You’ll explore the principles and techniques behind compelling songwriting, including:

Finding and developing powerful song ideas
Turning real-life experiences and emotions into lyrics
Creating memorable hooks and impactful choruses
Building verses that move a story forward
Developing your own authentic writing voice
Understanding structure, imagery, rhyme, rhythm, and lyrical flow
Overcoming writer’s block and unlocking creativity
Taking an idea from the first line to a complete song
But this Masterclass is about more than technique.
It’s about discovering the songwriter within you.

I believe everyone has a story—but learning how to translate that story into words that move people is a craft.

My goal is to give you the knowledge, perspective, creative tools, and confidence to take what is inside your imagination and transform it into something others can feel, remember, and sing.
