About Ruthie
I am a Sophomore at Montclair State University, studying for a BS in Mathematics and Statistics, with a concentration in Quantitative Research. I absolutely love teaching others how to master challenging material because I feel it is the best way for oneself to truly acquire that knowledge. Knowledge is power, and I hope by my efforts, my students will gain the confidence to use their already possessed power to run wild with it!

My teaching methodology is comfort. I typically will ask my students where he/she/they have noticed they focus and retain the most information possible. By immersing themselves in the most optimal environment, it gives them the ability to advocate for themselves, and feel motivated to learn. I come with loads of humor, that way my students are not so bored and consumed with the material that they dread learning about said topic. I want to make this experience enjoyable for them as it is for me. I am totally open to group settings (with perhaps 3-7 people), but have never taught a class of 20-30 students, so that will unfortunately not be feasible. I am able to travel, via car, from South Orange, NJ within a 10 mile radius. I look forward to helping all of you out, and embarking on such an exciting and not so boring adventure!
