About Diane
Holding a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a piano minor from Berklee College of Music, I emphasize foundational strength. My 13 years of performance work inform how I teach students to tackle jazz improvisation and complex sight playing.
I have successfully guided 298 students toward their musical goals. Memorization techniques and sight transposition are core parts of our work together. Rather than following a rigid book, I adapt my methods to your goals, almost like we are composing a map for your progress. Since I bring my own keyboard, we can focus on dynamics and expression even if you do not own a piano yet. My degree gives me the tools to explain rhythm and timing in ways that finally click for you. Preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams is straightforward when we break down the requirements into manageable steps.
