About Avijeet Shourya

I have been an avid French learner since the past 8 years. I went to France on a student exchange for 6 months and have been in touch with my host family and the language since then!
Personally being a student of a few French courses, i understand the need of one-on-one guidance to rid you from the clutches of the hesitation to speak up. All questions are important. Repetitiveness is never discouraged: you can never go wrong making sure if you are right in this setting, than to check it out in the real world.
My teaching experience is brief, but effective. From teaching students, friends and family, in A1, A2, and B1 level, trust me i have encountered a lot of doubts, questions and straight up ‘But y tho?’s. What i know, will make you comprehend it all better, and make is seem much more coherent. What i dont know, well lets learn it together. After all perfection is a moving goal. We can only aspire to achieve it!

About the lesson

Introduction to a new language can seem as a daunting task. Allow me to be your guide to discover one of the most polite and beautiful languages in the world, French!
In brief what you can expect from me: No mugging up, figuring out why things are said the way they are, analysis of the verbs and tenses, so that they come as naturally to you as your native language.
What i hope to instil in you: A love for the language, an admiration of the French culture, and alleviate you from the fear of learning French!
What i expect from you: Be driven! Expect a one on one multimedia session to engage all your senses, and a little bit of ‘Devoirs’(homework).
Be open to expand all your horizons, be it knowledge in geography, politics, history, culture or current affairs. I aspire to make you an individual who can read, listen, or talk about everyday life, in French.

Lessons will be planned according to personal needs, due attention will be given to ‘weaker areas’, expect an experience on all fronts, reading, listening, writing, watching ! No matter where your personal interests lie, i can tailor the guided reading, watching according to your interests!

He is extremely adapting and does not follow a rigid teaching style. His love for the language and teaching was ever evident in the lessons.
