About Lidia

My name is Lidia, I'm from Madrid, Spain. I am a social worker and I used to work in an emergency service. After many years of doing crisis intervention and dealing with emergencies I decided to change my career but not my goal. My goal has remained, which is, be part of a journey of empowerment and to help someone to reach their full potential. And is there something more empowering than learning a new language? I decided to learn English after a three-month trip to India. I went there with two friends and I felt like a burden because they had to translate everything for me and I couldn't do anything without them. I realized then, that without languages I will always depend on someone else, so I moved to the UK to study English and lived there for 4 years. I also speak Italian. For me language means freedom, means to have access to information that you wouldn't have otherwise, to be able to connect with people on a deeper level, to travel, to discover, to experience a new self... If you can relate to what you are reading I suggest you get in touch. People that are alike do wonderful things when they work together.

About the lesson

I believe that the best way to learn a language is to learn in context and incorporate it through practice. My style is based on the communicative approach .I will provide you with materials that I design myself and different resources .You will study at your own pace and you will learn how to incorporate grammar and vocabulary in context and strengthen your skills through conversation.
I am a fully certified teacher by Instituto Cervantes with several years of experience teaching Spanish online. I have been a student of languages myself and I wasted a lot of my precious time studying tons of grammar without being able to have a conversation where I didn't feel stupid.
So I have decided to be the teacher I would love to have when I was studying. This means a strong focus on conversation and building confidence while creating a grammar foundation. I specialized in beginners, so don't worry , you are in good hands.
You will be surprised at how quick you start talking and your confidence will improve greatly and more important than that you will love what you are doing. Let's let the adventure begin!
