About James
Having recently been offered a place to study mathematics at the University of Cambridge as a mature student, I enjoyed learning the material for the entrance exams (STEP) so much that I've decided against doing a second degree in favour of teaching what I've already learned.
I have recently helped students to achieve the grades they were aiming for in exams and have found that I genuinely enjoy teaching. Regardless of a student's aptitude or prior knowledge, I thrive on the challenge of calibrating each explanation to optimally facilitate comprehension.
I'm a member of MENSA high IQ society with scores in the 99th percentile for spatial reasoning and the 97th percentile for verbal reasoning. This is reflected in my ability to find creative ways of explaining challenging concepts.
I offer the first lesson for free.
