About Nicolas

Hello there! I'm an enthusiastic Theoretical Physicist, still embracing the student life.

My journey has been marked by an unwavering passion for these subjects, driving me to achieve significant recognitions, such as:

- Third place in the PLANCKS international physics competition at the masters level organized by the International Association of Physics Students
- Second place in the Dopplers national German physics competition at the Masters level organized by the German Society of Physics
- First place (twice) in the national Ecuadorian Mathematics Olympics at the high-school level organized by the Ecuadorian Society of Mathematics

I am currently a student at Cambridge, where I am studying a MASt in Theoretical Physics (part III). I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Jacobs University Bremen, where I majored in Physics and minored in Mathematics. Here I was a Teaching Assistant for Calculus and Linear Algebra (I and II), Discrete Mathematics, Advanced Linear Algebra, Analytical Mechanics, Machine Learning, Advanced Quantum Physics, and Quantum Informatics (Masters level course).

While my academic journey is engaging, my curiosity extends beyond the classroom. Over the years, I've delved into various research areas, from the application of Machine Learning applied to quantum physics, Quasiparticles in Bose-Einstein Condensates, and non-commutative geometry in gravity and string theory.

With over 800+ hours of teaching experience under my belt, I genuinely enjoy engaging with students and guiding them through the mysteries of physics and mathematics.

As Einstein said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." That's my mantra. I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into bite-sized, intuitive pieces --I'm dedicated to making your learning experience crystal clear and enjoyable.

Tailored for You:
I'm will adapt my teaching style to your unique needs. My teaching experience has been extremely broad, ranging from middle and high schoolers from the Cloudforest in Ecuador all the way to Master Students in Quantum Informatics. The one thing my lessons have in common: I will add a dash of fun and curiosity to keep things interesting!

Engaging Exploration:
Learning shouldn't be a chore – it should be an exciting adventure! While I can certainly bring the rigor to mathematics, I firmly believe in having my lessons be as engaging as possible (the proof will be left as an exercise for the reader)

I will also need to prepare to ensure I will properly guide you to your goals. That's why I encourage you to share your questions and topics before our lessons. This way, I can tailor our sessions to cover exactly what you're eager to explore, ensuring a productive and fulfilling experience.

I am an Electrical Engineer and took both Analytical and Quantum Mechanics with him as a TA, and he was always willing to help me clear any confusion that I had during the class, and provided very interactive tutorials. I ended up obtaining (100/100) in Analytical Mechanics and (93/100) in Quantum Mechanics, and it was certainly in part thanks to him. Would recommend 10/10 :)
