About Sara
Hi! My name is Sara and I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Cambridge. The ability to teach is vital as a doctor and so is something I have placed particular emphasis on growing during my previous experience tutoring GCSE biology. My patient nature and experience working with people of all ages (including children as young as 5) during my 3 years volunteering at my local stables makes me well suited to tutoring.

My techniques are adaptable depending on the student and the level but typically incorporate hands on learning, first giving examples of how to tackle a problem before giving the student plenty of chances (with help where necessary) to attempt similar problems themselves. Lessons vary in length from half an hour to an hour depending on what the parent and student prefer. I am happy to teach any level for science (with an emphasis on biology and chemistry) and maths from primary school to A level.
During my previous experience tutoring in GCSE biology, I have found students find usage of diagrams, active recall quizzing and exam questions particularly useful.
