About Milan
I attended King’s College School, Wimbledon where I worked closely with peers as both a school and house prefect. I obtained 9 A*s at GCSE including Maths as well as an A in Additional Maths. In my a levels I obtained an A* Maths and an A in AS Further Maths. Throughout my time at school, Maths remained my favourite subject due to its self-rewarding when apprehending and perfecting the ability to deconstruct complex mathematical problems to simpler, solvable forms.
I put my teaching methods into practice in 2017-2018 at Ricard’s Lodge High School, Wimbledon, in order to help a group of GCSE students secure their target grades of 9-5 (A*-C), and following the year long course, the progress of the students was highlighted in both their attitude the subject and their overall results, with 67% achieving grades 9-7 (A*-A) and 92% achieving grades 9-5 (A*-C)

Having been both a recent student and former teacher, I understand the challenging natures of a school environment whilst also understanding that dislike for a particular subject causes students to become reluctant to study it. This is often the case with Maths where not understanding a concept may put a student off learning how to solve its simple, and more complex, constructs. As a tutor with high levels of patience and the necessary discipline, I ensure that progress is visible in both the results obtained and aim to change any negative perception of the subject.
