About Keegan

My passion for teaching has been a long-seated dream, with that focus being how I grew up to fill the dream of understanding the world. I grew up as a curious student, having received my first scientific encyclopaedia at the age of 9, and have never looked back! Family and friends alike have called me a natural teacher, but I realised that the classroom is probably not the place for me, because the structure didn't fit me as the individual, and I bet it doesn't suit you perfectly either! I excel at promoting understanding through conversation, as opposed to the regular formula of worksheets and just reading the content, which is in turn better suited to you as an individual than it is to a classroom. I have been tutoring privately since the age of 16, which I pursued actively until I was 22, after which I entered into the role of being an outdoor educator, where I spread my love for understanding the world to thousands of students to date. I now work as a freelance educator, with the main emphasis being on delivering the best understanding, and therefore results, that your potential deserves.

About the lesson

As a lifelong student myself and having worked with thousands of pupils in an education setting, I know that one lesson doesn't fit all. My approach is understanding-based, so we won't be doing much memorising, but instead have discussions that are tailored to helping you understand the subject material, in a fun, curiosity-filled way. My lessons are tailored to you, so a quick problem-solving chat or an extensive study session are all you need. My background is in all aspects of science, but I specialise in chemistry, physics and analytical sciences. My typical students range from 13-18, but I am willing to help anyone who feels that my diverse knowledge set can help them. Let's understand the world together!
