About Jiwon
I've been here in California for 5 years now, so I'm finally at the point where I understand why Americans put ranch on everything. I speak half of your language, you speak half of mine, and somewhere in that mess we've basically got a perfect match!
I graduated from a national university in Korea, currently work as a sales rep in Irvine, and I've been told I'm pretty fun and easy to talk to (not my opinion, just the reviews coming in). So lessons with me won't feel like a stiff classroom situation, more like chatting with a friend who just happens to know a suspicious amount of Korean

All languages in which the lesson is available :
English
I teach students of all levels, from complete beginners just learning Hangul, to intermediate learners working on natural conversation, to advanced students polishing grammar and nuance. Whatever stage you're at, I'll meet you there.
My approach is practical and personalized. I don't believe in one size fits all lessons, so we'll build a plan around your goals, whether that's traveling to Korea, connecting with family, understanding K-dramas without subtitles, or just picking up a beautiful new language for fun. Lessons blend real conversation practice with the grammar and vocabulary you actually need, so you're speaking confidently from early on, not just memorizing rules.
I'm patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy watching students go from hesitant to comfortable. No judgment for mistakes here, that's how we learn.
Let's chat about your goals and get started. 화이팅!
