About Paty

I am a qualified secondary school teacher of Computer Science in the South of England who is passionate about her subject. I became a Computer Scientist after getting my first job in the Video Game industry as a video game tester. Then, I started to be interested in networks and I became a Network Manager after getting many qualifications! I also worked in the Software Developer industry coordinating teams of back-end, front-end, HTML, testers and business analysts, which increased my exposure to different programming languages! I have worked in many other areas of Computer Science, but what I love to do now is to teach students that find programming difficult and help them to enjoy this journey as much as I do!

About the lesson

I ensure my students enjoy my lessons by starting at a level they can achieve and gradually increase the complexity of the programming challenges. It is important for me that my students enjoy the lessons while learning all the required learning objectives of the subject. My lessons last 1 hr and they follow a structure agreed with the student in lesson 1 to accommodate all learning needs. I qualified in the University of Reading obtaining a PGCE in Computer Science, and I have also plenty of industry experience on programming and networks, which I love!
