About Alfie

I have been a dedicated vocal coach for over 10 years, working with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them unlock their vocal potential and express themselves confidently through song. My lessons are designed to address both the technical and emotional aspects of singing, as I believe that a great voice is not just about technique but also about connection with the music and the audience. I start by working with students on the fundamental building blocks of singing: breath control, pitch accuracy, tone production, and vocal health. These techniques form the foundation for a sustainable, healthy voice, which is essential for singers of all levels. For students with more experience, I introduce more advanced concepts such as vocal resonance, dynamics, vocal agility, and phrasing to help them develop more control over their voice and expand their vocal range. My teaching style is highly individualized; I tailor each lesson to meet the student's unique goals, whether they want to improve their technique, prepare for a performance, or learn a specific style of singing. I encourage students to experiment with various genres, from opera and classical to contemporary pop and musical theater, helping them become versatile singers capable of expressing themselves in a range of musical styles. Performance coaching is a major component of my lessons. I work with students on stage presence, emotional expression, and the ability to engage with an audience, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared for any performance situation. Throughout the learning process, I emphasize the importance of building confidence, developing vocal strength, and enjoying the process of singing. My ultimate goal is to inspire my students to discover their full potential as singers and performers, while always maintaining a sense of joy and fulfillment in their musical journey.

With over 10 years of experience in teaching singing, I am dedicated to helping students discover the full range of their vocal capabilities. My philosophy centers on building a solid technical foundation while also cultivating creativity, confidence, and emotional connection to the music.

I believe that everyone has a unique voice, and I take pride in guiding students to find their own individual sound, whether they are beginners or advanced singers. I focus on breath support, vocal resonance, and proper vocal placement to ensure a healthy, sustainable technique. As students progress, I introduce more advanced exercises and techniques to help them expand their vocal range, improve vocal flexibility, and refine their overall sound. I also place a strong emphasis on ear training and musicianship, helping students improve their musical instincts and abilities to sight-read, harmonize, and learn music by ear. I teach a wide range of styles, from contemporary pop to classical and musical theater, ensuring that students are well-rounded and versatile as vocalists.

I also recognize that performance is a crucial aspect of a singer’s journey, so I work with students on developing stage presence, building confidence, and delivering an emotionally compelling performance.
