About Kobe
Hi I'm Kobe! I grew up in Hong Kong and have the strangest passion for teaching. Throughout high school I took every opportunity to improve others, notably volunteering as an English debate teacher, serving as an adjudicator for HKSSDC and coding mentor for the non-profit Kids4Kids. Being raised by very traditional parents, whilst stressful, has instilled me with the absolute importance of education. Each class I have always has an objective, whether it be knowledge consolidation or tackling new topics, I strive to do so in a meaningful and engaging manner. Of course, without the intensity of a traditional Asian parent :D.

Throughout my academic life I have had many good and many bad teachers. It is from them I have developed my own tried-and-true method of careful guidance, clear (and sometimes creative) explanations, and *most* importantly past papers! There is no such thing as a slow learner, only bad teachers. Typical lessons will be 1-1.5hrs depending on student need, and will generally involve exam practice even when learning a new topic. I am a third year BSc Economics student with ~4 years of experience teaching students GCSE/AQA/IB/A-Level maths, science, English, and economics. I also run a blockchain startup in tandem with my degree. I am currently available for GCSE/AQA science, maths, economics, and English | TOK essay, personal statement.
