About Misha
I am an enthusiastic and hard-working third-year student-engineer at the University of Toronto, with a passion for robotics, aerospace, transportation, and CAD/CAM processes. I spend my spare time making mechatronics projects, playing the piano, and swimming competitively. I aim to put effort and dedication into any project I may be working on, in order to yield the best possible result for both myself and my stakeholders, who in this particular case are my students and their educators.

STEM courses can be an interesting yet challenging topic for many students. I've experienced much of what many students in STEM struggle with, so I understand which strategies work and which don't, when it comes to conquering the material on hand. English, in particular, I found to be an interesting subject because it is actually quite essential in various engineering fields. Many students in STEM struggle with English so I hope I can provide some insight into writing well, and hopefully even make writing fun! As to the "classic" STEM courses, I have found ways, in my studies, to progress in a more natural, logical method. From understanding the material to doing the homework, a lot goes into academic success, especially within STEM.
I don't have a particular, one-size-fits-all lesson plan because I believe different students benefit from different teaching methods. Either way, learning should be something they're willing to engage in, and as such there will be a comfortable, outgoing atmosphere where the student should feel comfortable learning in. A personal connection between mentor and mentee is critical as well, so I hope to get to know my students to better help them move forward.
