About Muhammad
Hi, I’m Muhammad, a third-year medical student at the University of Leicester. I chose to study medicine because I am naturally curious about how things work and I enjoy breaking complex systems down into clear, logical steps
Throughout school and university, I’ve always been driven by improvement. I don’t believe ability is fixed; I believe performance improves when you understand your weaknesses and address them directly. That mindset helped me transition successfully into medical school and continues to shape how I approach both learning and teaching.
Alongside my studies, I have been involved in academic teaching which strengthened my confidence in explaining difficult material clearly and speaking in front of groups. It also reinforced something important to me: teaching is not just about knowledge, but about clarity and communication.
I take pride in being reliable, disciplined and honest with my students. If something needs improvement, I will say so and I will also show you exactly how to improve it. My aim is to support students who are serious about progressing and willing to put in consistent effort.

I am a third-year medical student at the University of Leicester, teaching GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, as well as UCAT preparation for aspiring medical applicants. Alongside my studies, I have taught through the Leicester Medical School Revision Society (LMSRS), delivering structured presentations and small-group teaching sessions to medical students.
My teaching approach is structured, analytical and highly exam-focused. I prioritise deep understanding of core concepts before moving to exam application. In my experience, students often know the content but lose marks through weak exam technique and thus I place strong emphasis on active recall, structured answers and past paper practice from early on. Every lesson is tailored to the individual, whether that means strengthening foundations or refining grade 8–9 level responses.
For UCAT preparation, I focus on strategy rather than repetition alone. I teach students how to identify patterns within question types, improve timing under pressure and think logically in unfamiliar scenarios. The goal is not just practice volume, but performance optimisation.
Lessons are typically 60–90 minutes and follow a clear structure: targeted content review, guided exam-style questions and immediate feedback. Where appropriate, I set focused independent work to consolidate progress between sessions.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students (ages 14–16) aiming to improve confidence and grades, as well as sixth form students preparing for the UCAT and medical school applications. I aim to create a focused and disciplined learning environment that builds both academic performance and independent thinking.
