My name is Chelsie, and I am a third year Mathematics and Philosophy student at the University of Exeter, graduating in July 2025. I am passionate about making maths accessible to all, and increasing my students' confidence in their own abilities.

I strongly believe that tutoring is not a one size fits all. I adapt to the needs and targets of each of my students. Some students prefer to be taught topics, from the start, going through the background information and walking through examples. Some students prefer to learn by doing mathematics, practising questions. Or sometimes students actually do not know what they prefer- and this is okay! My job as a tutor is to guide you and work out what is best for you. I like to keep the lessons engaging, friendly and low pressure, where my students are comfortable to ask me any questions and confident to admit they need help or are struggling.
