About Finn

Hi! I'm Finn. I am doing my PhD in mathematics and I teach math and computer science. I have over five years of experience teaching uni students and undergraduates. I'm passionate about debunking the myth that mathematics is inherently hard. My main goal is to give you the tools and confidence to engage with mathematics independently, both now and in the future.

About the lesson

Mathematics is often made out to be scary and inaccessible. I am passionate about convincing you of the opposite! As your tutor, I'll start working with you from what you already know, and I will help you build independence and confidence to engage with mathematics on your own.

In particular, I want to encourage curiosity and mathematical exploration, and show you that most of what you learn in school is actually useful in practice if applied correctly.

My typical lesson is around an hour long, and I can tutor anyone from high school to advanced undergraduate. I am doing a PhD in mathematics and have over five years of experience tutoring both university and high school students; both in in-person sessions and groups of up to 25 people.
