About Luke
I grew up in Lower Hutt and attended Hutt Valley High School. My experience of Mathematics there did not serve me or my peers fully. Individualised, varied and interesting explanations and techniques would have served us all better.
I also assisted in instructing a Karate class in my seniors years for my local club. The spreading of enjoyment of something I find beautiful is deeply rewarding.

I am studying Mathematics at the University Of Canterbury, currently 300-level Mathematics. Mathematics is a beautiful and deeply satisfying thing once you can get a grasp of it. I have tutored informally for family friends and find the helping anyone expand their knowledge and confidence incredibly satisfying. Having completed NCEA Mathematics through to Calculus, and continuing onto to University, I feel confident to tutor school or highschool students. In my approach I always make sure to expand understanding not just technical ability because that is where proper confidence and interest can be found.
