A third year maths major at UCT, I matriculated from Westerford with 99% for core maths and 95% for advanced maths. I am kind, patient and adaptable with all my students grade 8 to 12.

I am a very passionate, responsible and compassionate person. I take my work seriously with a generous sprinkling of fun and find it very satisfying and meaningful to help students understand topics that may frustrate or confuse them. When I'm not studying, I love to read, play guitar and train in karate.

Above all when teaching, I aim to meet the student where they are in their understanding, adapting with each session to explain the subject in ways that make sense to them. I love connecting to my students and helping them to find their personal interest in the subject. In a typical lesson, we will work together to develop a deeper and more confident grasp on the material covered in the classroom that week. Simultaneously, we strengthen any gaps that appear in the foundations of their mathematical knowledge. Revision, an important tool in maths, is baked into each lesson (becoming the focus close to tests and exams).
While I wrote the NSC core maths and the IEB advanced maths exams in grade 12, as a university maths student I am confident that I would be able to assist with any high school curriculum.
