I am a passionate and supportive tutor who enjoys helping students gain confidence in maths and physics. My teaching style is interactive and student-focused—I like to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and encourage plenty of questions along the way. I believe that real understanding comes from actively engaging with the subject, so I structure my lessons around problem-solving, examples, and discussions rather than just memorisation. I also adapt my approach depending on how each student learns best, whether that means using visual explanations, practical examples, or step-by-step walkthroughs of tricky problems. I am currently studying for a degree in Physics, which has given me a strong foundation in both mathematics and physics, from mechanics and electromagnetism through to quantum physics and thermodynamics. My academic journey means I not only understand the exam curriculum but also how these topics connect to more advanced ideas, which allows me to give students both the knowledge they need for their assessments and a deeper appreciation of the subject. I have experience teaching and explaining physics concepts to others, including peers and family members, which has helped me refine my ability to make challenging ideas accessible. I am familiar with different exam boards and their requirements, so I can tailor lessons to suit GCSE, A-Level, or university-level study. Above all, I aim to make learning enjoyable, supportive, and motivating, so students feel confident and capable of achieving their best results.
