About Aneesha

If there's one thing I've learned throughout my academic journey, it's that success isn't about being the smartest person in the room—it's about having the right strategy, building confidence, and learning how to approach challenges effectively.

My passion for science, medicine, and teaching began long before medical school. In high school, I attended the specialized Academy of Healthcare at the Morris County Vocational School District (MCVTS), where I discovered my love for biology, physiology, and patient care. It was there that I developed the study habits, discipline, and curiosity that ultimately led me to pursue a career in medicine.

I was later accepted into a highly selective BS/MD program at Stony Brook University, where I continued to challenge myself academically and achieved strong results on standardized examinations, including a score of 35 on the ACT and a highly competitive MCAT score. Today, I am a third-year medical student at the Renaissance School of Medicine, where I spend my time caring for patients, conducting research, mentoring students, and completing my clinical rotations.

As someone who has personally experienced the pressure of competitive examinations, advanced coursework, college applications, and the path toward a career in medicine, I understand how overwhelming the process can sometimes feel. That's why my goal as a tutor extends far beyond improving grades and test scores. I want to help students develop the confidence, discipline, and problem-solving skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

Every student learns differently, so I create individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's goals, strengths, and learning style. Rather than emphasizing memorization alone, I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply, recognize patterns, and learn practical strategies that allow them to perform at their highest level.

Parents can expect open communication, professionalism, patience, and a genuine commitment to their child's success. Students can expect a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence with every lesson.

Whether you're preparing for the SAT, ACT, MCAT, advanced science courses, or the highly competitive BS/MD admissions process, I would be honored to be part of your journey and help you achieve your goals.

My goal as a tutor is not simply to help students memorize information but to teach them how to think critically, solve problems efficiently, and become confident, independent learners.

As a third-year medical student at Stony Brook University who completed a highly competitive BS/MD program, I understand firsthand the challenges students face when preparing for rigorous examinations. Throughout my own academic journey, I have developed effective study methods, test-taking strategies, and learning techniques that I now share with my students.

Every lesson is personalized according to a student's goals, strengths, learning style, and timeline. During our first session, I identify strengths, areas for improvement, and target scores so that we can create a structured plan for success.

A typical lesson includes:

• A review of previously learned material

• Content review focused on high-yield concepts

• Guided practice questions and detailed explanations

• Strategies for time management and test-taking

• A customized study plan and assignments for the following session

My teaching style is engaging, encouraging, and highly interactive. I focus heavily on pattern recognition, active learning, and understanding concepts at a deeper level rather than relying solely on memorization.

I offer tutoring for:

• Middle school and high school students

• SAT and ACT preparation

• College students enrolled in biology, chemistry, physiology, and related science courses

• Pre-medical students preparing for the MCAT

• Students interested in applying to BS/MD programs and medical school

What sets me apart is that I have successfully navigated the same path that many of my students hope to follow. From standardized examinations to medical school admissions, I understand both the academic and personal challenges involved, and I am committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Together, we'll work not only toward better grades and higher scores but also toward building confidence that lasts long after the exam is over.
