About Ava
I study Biology to become a surgeon or to work in a lab, but I also have a passion for teaching and hope to become a lecturer later on in life. I love helping students finally grasp concepts and being able to view their progress as we continue working together! Over my years of experience in tutoring, I have worked to try to be as patient, understanding, and motivational as possible to help my students in every way I can!

I try to help my students understand content by identifying gaps in learning and hesitations in technique that could be preventing my students from fully grasping the information we are covering. Often a student who is struggling does not struggle with the whole topic or the information itself, but a key aspect or approach that once understood will tie everything together. After identifying weaknesses, we go over the content in as many ways as possible and connect it to the rest of the units and learning.
