I am an MSU College of Music graduate with a specialty in low brass instruments who teaches beginning and intermediate wind instrumentalists. I've taught myself some basic proficiency on the ukulele which I also feel qualified to instruct. Furthermore, I have a strong concept of music theory and can teach that as well.
My technique is to have comfortable, productive lessons with a positive attitude. Utilizing studies books, scales, and other tools I create a regiment with the student while along the way sharing wisdom and musical concept.
As a teacher I am an excellent listener and encourage dialogue about our processes so as to facilitate depth of understanding. I do my best to create a safe and comfortable environment while meticulously exposing various nuggets of musical information.
I have been giving lessons for over 3 years.
I have taught 5 people individually and many more unofficially during my time as a music camp counselor.
My students achieve an improved knowledge and concept of music as well as a proficiency in performance and discipline.
I'm willing to negotiate pricing for those struggling financially.

I have been a band camp counselor for five years and have been teaching music privately for more than three.
