About Maeve
I earned my B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Kentucky, where I worked at the UK Hemenway Writing Center for three years. It was incredibly rewarding to give students the confidence and skills they needed to be successful academic writers. There is no feeling like helping someone reach their goals. Whether your goal is to gain a better grasp of the English language, turn that daunting 20-page paper in on time and error-free, or craft the perfect grad school essay (and get in!), let me be your helping hand.
In addition to tutoring services in academic writing, I also offer services in proofreading, editing, practice with essays for both Advanced Placement English courses, and more.
A fun fact about me: I also earned a minor in voice performance, and I sing professionally around my hometown!

Whether you need your college application essays proofread, you're stuck trying to start a research paper, or you just need help with the quality of your writing, I am here to help! We'll start with laying out what your assignment or task is and then identify the issues keeping you from producing your best work. I have three years of experience helping students decide on a research topic, outline a paper or essay, edit their work for clarity, grammar, and spelling, and secure scholarships and admission into their graduate program of choice. I have worked with students writing for all subjects and tasks, from law to biology and creative writing to cover letters. If English is your second language, I have extensive experience helping international students correct their grammar, spelling, and style, and learn permanent written English skills they can apply to future tasks.
