About Tiffany

An award-winning pianist, Dr. Fung recently received the Diamond Prize in the World Exceptional Musicians Competition in August 2024. She was named the Alternate Winner in the MTNA Oregon Performance Competition: Young Artist Category in 2020. She received the First prize at the “Best Performance of Rachmaninoff” of the GCC Series in 2021 and was awarded the First prize in the GCC Series Piano Concerto Competition with Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto in 2020. She was one of the finalists in the 2016 Maccagno Piano Days Competition in Italy.

Dr. Fung gave a masterclass and guest artist recital at Berea College in 2023. She was the instructor for the secondary piano classes and applied piano for voice-performance major students at the University of Florida from 2021-2024. In 2022, she was the instructor of “Piano Bravo: Piano Workshop for Beginners” at UF Community Music School. Besides her pedagogic activities, she has assisted the International Piano Festival, Sacred Music Workshop, University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Song Literature Seminars, Opera Workshop, and Voice Audition Days during her time at UF.

Tiffany began her musical journey at the age of seven. She holds degrees from Hong Kong Baptist University (BA Hons. in Music), Southern Oregon University (MM), and the University of Florida (DMA). Her principal teachers have included Jasmin Arakawa, Alexander Tutunov, and Linda Yim. In addition to piano studies, she studied organ with Laura Ellis, and harpsichord and fortepiano with David Chung. She holds the Art Graduate Certificate – Arts in Public Health. She was a distinguished Evans Family Endowed Scholar (2019-2021) and received the UF Graduate Student Research Award twice (2023, 2024).

About the lesson

I offer personalized piano lessons for students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to university students. Lessons focus on building both technical and musical skills, including repertoire, sight-reading, and theory. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and learning style, with clear objectives and a fun, engaging approach to help students develop confidence and a lifelong love of music.
