About Tonghao
I am an architecture student with extensive experience in Rhino, Grasshopper and computational design. I am a postgraduate student at Tongji University CAUP, whose Architecture & Built Environment discipline is ranked 12th globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026.
Grasshopper has been an important tool in my design and research work. I have used it for architectural experiments, generative design systems, structural logic studies and many studio or competition projects. I also published a first-author SCI JCR Q2 paper related to generative architectural systems, where Grasshopper played an important role in the research workflow.
I want to teach because I know how difficult Grasshopper can feel at the beginning. My goal is to help students understand the logic behind parametric design, build confidence, and apply Grasshopper to real architectural projects rather than only following tutorials.

I am an architecture master student with strong experience in Grasshopper, Rhino and computational design. I have used Grasshopper not only for studio projects, but also for architectural research, large-scale design experiments and a first-author SCI JCR Q2 publication on generative architectural systems.
My teaching focuses on helping students understand the logic behind Grasshopper, not just copying definitions. I can guide you through data trees, parametric modeling, facade systems, form generation, optimization workflows, RhinoPython basics and project-specific debugging. Lessons are based on real architectural cases, so you can apply the skills directly to your studio work, portfolio, competitions or research.
Each lesson is usually 60 to 90 minutes and can be taught online in English or Chinese. The lessons are suitable for beginners, architecture students, design students and intermediate users who want to become more independent and confident in Grasshopper.
