About Stanley
I recently graduated from the University of Chicago (#6 U.S. News) where I majored in philosophy. An Alabama native, I won a National Merit Scholarship while attending Spain Park High School in Hoover where I also scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT and SAT (35/2340), and was recognized as an AP Scholar with distinction.

Since I started tutoring, I’ve worked with students of all backgrounds. I have experience with one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings. At the heart of my approach is the belief that every student deserves an engaging teacher who understands the way they learn. It is my goal not only to improve your student's grades or test scores but to help them cultivate stronger studying and test-taking skills.
I work with students on the hard and soft skills of mathematics. I am able to give a number of explanations for the same problem because I have years of experience and insight. I always come to lessons prepared and often with supplementary materials. I know that students looking for a tutor need personalized attention, so I adapt lessons to their needs.
