About Kishan
Hi! I’m Kishan, a fourth-year Computer Engineering student at the University of Toronto.
I’m an Engineering Honor Roll student and ranked in the top 30 in my year of students in U of T’s Electrical & Computer Engineering program. Throughout my degree, I’ve continued to build on the math fundamentals I developed in high school through courses involving calculus, linear algebra, circuits, computer architecture, and other engineering subjects.
I also have experience working with students through Kumon, where I helped students work through problems, understand new concepts, and develop confidence in solving problems independently.
I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping people understand things that initially seem difficult. I know that everyone learns differently, so I try to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and take the time they need to understand the material.
Whether you’re looking to keep up with your class, prepare for an upcoming test, or strengthen your understanding of math or physics, I’m happy to help!

My approach to tutoring is focused on understanding the material rather than simply memorizing formulas or following steps. I break difficult concepts down into smaller pieces, explain the reasoning behind each step, and then work through practice problems with the student.
A typical lesson will start by identifying what the student is currently struggling with. From there, we’ll review the relevant concepts and work through examples together. As the student becomes more comfortable, I’ll have them try problems independently while I provide guidance when needed. I also like to finish by reviewing the key ideas and identifying anything that may need more practice.
I’m happy to adapt lessons to each student’s needs. Some students may need help catching up with their class, while others may want to focus on homework, upcoming tests, or exam preparation.
What I think sets me apart is my focus on making difficult material feel less intimidating. As a Computer Engineering student at the University of Toronto, I regularly work with mathematics and problem-solving, and I understand how frustrating it can be when a concept doesn’t initially make sense. My goal is to explain it from a different angle until it clicks.
My lessons are intended for Grade 9-12 students studying mathematics, including Advanced Functions, and Calculus & Vectors
