About Bennett
As a student myself, I understand that science courses can sometimes feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities. Additionally, as a student, I know what is and isn't helpful when learning these concepts, and can use this knowledge to make learning fun and productive.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I believe students learn best when they can see the logic behind biological and chemical processes, so I emphasize building strong conceptual foundations before moving on to problem-solving and exam preparation. I adapt my teaching style to each student's needs, using diagrams, practice problems, active recall, and step-by-step explanations to make challenging topics approachable.
A typical lesson begins with identifying areas of confusion and reviewing key concepts. From there, we work through examples together, practice applying the material to new problems, and finish with strategies for independent studying and exam success. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and focus on developing confidence alongside content mastery.
What sets me apart is my combination of academic success, laboratory experience, and practical healthcare exposure. I have extensive laboratory experience from my courses and my work in a pharmaceutical lab, allowing me to provide context beyond the textbook. As an EMT trainee and aspiring physician, I also enjoy helping students understand how science is applied in healthcare and research settings.
