About Neill
I am primarily a philosopher, writer and teacher, but majored with distinction in economics at undergraduate level, completing my BA(PPE) through Unisa in 2019.
I have gained five years of experience in private tutoring with achievement- consistently catalysing improvements for my students. My experience has focused mainly on Gr2-Gr10 mathematics, high school and university-level economics, assistance with university essays (history, philosophy, english and economics), and proof-reading/editing written assignments at all levels.
An all-round nice guy with integrity, excellent communication skills, who is well read and cares about his clients.

I listen to my students analytically and identify exactly where and why a gap in understanding is blocking comprehension. This gap is addressed by using creative analogies, comparisons, examples and by clarifying the relevant foundational concepts.
With children I am patient, caring, relatable and fun, but firm. More senior students will appreciate my passionate delivery and quirky humour.
I believe that fear in students is often the greatest stumbling block to learning (whether due to bad experiences with a subject/educator or a lack of self-confidence). Building the confidence of students is therefore a priority.
I believe that knowledge is most effectively transmitted through the channel of care and respect.
