About Ama
First class chemistry masters graduate from University College London.
I tutor maths (GCSE and iGCSE), physics (GCSE and iGCSE) and chemistry (GCSE, iGCSE and A-level).
I`m a very friendly, approachable tutor and have had great feedback from my students of a wide range of abilities.
For example, my GCSE Science students commonly jump 2 grades in a matter of weeks.
I push my top Maths students to achieve a grade 9 through understanding and practice of the hardest questions to ever come up in exams, meaning they are equipped to get every single mark available in their final exam.
I have also had students come to me before resitting their GCSE maths for the third time. After just a few weeks of lessons, they were able to pass with confidence.
For similar students struggling to secure a pass, I use various methods, tips and tricks to teach topics until we find the methods that resonate with the student, as everyone thinks in a different way. This enables students to tackle maths problems with ease.

I develop student understanding of core concepts using different approaches, such as the use of analogies, visual aids, identifying patterns, step-by-step methods, and more.
I incorporate extensive past paper practice within lessons to hone in on exam technique and build confidence.
I keep up to date with changes to the major exam boards (Edexcel/AQA/OCR) and closely follow the specifications for the content of my lessons.
