With a lot of help from a great instructor, I was able to master the SAT as a struggling high school student and get into the college of my choice. I'm now a Tufts University graduate with a strong interdisciplinary background in English, Math (up through Calculus), and various Physical and Social Sciences. I have professional strategy training in standardized tests, so I can help you or your child to prepare for any major exam (ISEE, PSAT, SAT, ACT) and to sharpen admissions applications. I can also provide homework help in standard school subjects such as Math, English (essay writing), and Spanish, or simply work to enhance general study skills, organization, and other grade-boosting habits.
I have been a private educator for about a decade. I began as a special-needs tutor, often in a crossover role as nanny. I received standardized test training about five years ago, and I now teach ISEE courses at schools in Pasadena and Los Angeles in addition to my in-home tutoring and childcare work.
I offer bigger discounts for larger packages, and lower rates for non-test-prep and simpler school subjects. I also can adjust rates based on our meeting location and its proximity to my other scheduled clients.
