About Cotter
As a teacher and performer of 10+ years, I have taught hundreds of lessons with great success and have retained dozens of clients to this day. I have been passionate about guitar teaching and music instruction ever since I taught a riff to a friend in high school; there was an instantaneous joy associated with passing on knowledge. I have received tutelage from many different types of guitar teachers throughout the years of my musical upbringing which has provided vast insight as to how music lessons can be conducted. I am the type of teacher that will leave no question unanswered!

A typical lesson starts with setting the pace and getting to know a student's musical interests & backgrounds, as each student needs to be individually tailored to. I teach all ages and all skill levels, though I am particularly experienced in working with the advancing guitarist.
I have the ability to teach from any given music book, my own customized lesson content, and everything in between. Whether you're looking to delve into a band's specific sound or you want to learn music theory & harmony, I'm your guy!
I believe music has a place in everyone's life to varying capacities. From strumming the guitar a couple times a week to pursuing a career in the music industry, I am a teacher who validates it all.
