About Elisabeth
I have a TESOL qualification, and have also studied music at university. I've been teaching beginner to advanced level adult students online. My students are from Latin America, Turkey, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. I enjoy meeting students from different countries, and learning about their lives and cultures.
I have also been a music teacher, and I've taught private piano lessons to adults and children. I'm patient, encouraging, positive and creative. I will praise
your achievements, and guide you in areas that need developing. Let's achieve your language learning goals!
During 2017, I lived in Latvia, Europe, my father's country. I studied his language, which enabled me to seek further opportunities in his country. I also understand the challenges of learning another language. On the other hand, It was easier to communicate with relatives and the locals , and I played the piano on a Baltic Sea ferry.

I believe in giving students opportunities to develop their speaking and english skills. I do this through having
conversations
about different familiar topics, and following lesson plans which include questions, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and reading exercises. I strongly support the cambridge english teaching method. I teach basic conversation , professional development, academic english and english for travel courses.
My passion is teaching english through music and songs. Let's sing or write a song! I play the piano and sing for certain students. My students enjoy discussions about songs and
music they enjoy. I sing and teach songs, and discuss the meaning of lyrics. Some students sing english songs they know! Songs are also a wonderful way to learn pronunciation, rhythm in language, word meanings and metaphors. Piano music reflects emotions, atmosphere and imagery.
My other favourite methodology is using Australian resources, eg. literature, photos of Australia and nature scenes.
