About Emily
I am an experienced Biomedical Scientist with multiple academic qualifications. I qualified in London, UK but my undergraduate degrees were obtained in Durban, SA. I have recently relocated to Durban North for family reasons. I’d like to peruse a tutoring service because it was one of the most rewarding parts of my career thus far. I held the position of Chief Biomedical Scientist - Pathology Training Lead for about 6 years in a large diagnostic laboratory in central London. I look forward to meeting students and forming professional relationships that will benefit us both. I can’t wait to get started :-)

As an experienced tutor I have developed a teaching style that allows the student to use their own initiative. My teaching is not all about trying to impart as much knowledge as possible, it’s more about understanding that information in line with the student’s capabilities. I also encourage reflection on lessons learned and understood. I have the ability to change the way I teach based on the learning style of the student.
