About Georgia

I believe that making clothes is the absolute pinnacle of self-expression and unlocking that skill helped me to express who I am in a way I hadn't been able to ever before. I've been sewing my own clothes since I was 11 and I wish more people could experience the joy and satisfaction it brings! Whatever your level of sewing/knitting ability, I would LOVE to work with you on your next project and help you to develop this incredible, life-changing skill. Can't wait to sew with you!

About the lesson

Just like your garments, we can tailor your lessons exactly to you! If you need help with a specific pattern or project, you've got no idea where to start or you'd like to methodically work on techniques to improve your art, I can help you however you need. I studied a BA in Costume Production (essentially making clothes) at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for three years before working in Haute Couture, high-end fashion and starting my own business making bespoke one-off pieces. I am a self-taught knitter with almost 20 years under my belt and I make almost all of my own clothes. I've taught children as young as four, adults in retirement and everyone in between! I have an enhanced DBS certificate and a full driving licence. For an additional fee I can also bring my own machine for us to work on - message me to chat about this!

This first lesson offered with Georgia will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

In Person Lessons: £40/hr
Group Lessons (In person only): 2 - 5 students: +£15 per additional student
6+ students: +£5 per additional student

For Group Lessons students should be at similar stages in their learning to get the most out of the lessons. These lessons must be either sewing, or knitting for all students.

Online Lessons: £35/hr (you need to have a camera view from above, such as an iPhone on a tripod facing downwards) - I don't recommend these for children under 13 as it can be quite hard to get your head around the verbal instructions without a physical, in person demonstration.

£10 per hr for students over 30 mins from Central Oxford. Free for group sessions of 4+ students or sessions over 2 hours long.
