About Mandisa

I hold a Travel and Tourism Management diploma, with 6 years work experience in the travel and aviation industry. Worked for an airline supervising a team of over 20 people. I was recently retrenched due to COVID-19 and decided to do an online course, I chose to do a TEFL certificate because of my love for interacting with people and language. I currently have no teaching/tutoring experience but have been well equipped by Open Academy where I studied my TEFL.

About the lesson

I believe my teaching styles would depend on which class or individual I have for that particular lesson. As I would like to teach or base my teaching depending on what that group or individual need. But generally my method would be a combination of participation and demonstration, aswell as content focused method. I would love to give lessons to children who are in primary school-grade 1-7 phase that are in need of extra classes to improve their academic record, but also the lessons are open to the kids of parents who simply might not have time to deal with their homework or learning of the English language due to their own work schedule being hectic.
