My teaching approach revolves around the ability to be malleable and open minded. I do not believe I can teach each student only one way, and therefore use the lesson to learn about the student's needs and best learning style. I strive to integrate new ideas, and keep myself up to date on the best learning and teaching styles as to be able to provide the student with the best, but also most fun education experience!
Juniper is a passionate Phoenix-based cellist in the pursuit of their Bachelors of Music in Cello Performance. They are currently studying under Matt Allen, a teaching assistant of Thomas Landschoot, who is the cello professor at Arizona State University. Juniper has been involved in multiple piano trios, quartets, and has been a guest soloist for Glendale Community College’s guitar ensemble. Juniper has three years experience teaching all ages privately for cello, violin, and viola. While full time teaching, Juniper has also enjoyed coaching ensemble groups and volunteering for various string workshops. Upon completion of a Bachelors degree, Juniper plans to pursue their Masters of Music in Cello Pedagogy. As an educator, Juniper believes there is not a one size fits all method to teaching, and therefore strives to build lesson plans around the individual student’s needs. Juniper’s goals in teaching are to not only make the student feel safe in their learning environment, but to also help build a connection to music that will last a lifetime.
