About Alicia

With over 20 years of experience teaching Spanish to university students and corporate professionals, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language, along with internationally recognized certifications. My teaching style is approachable, rooted in real communication rather than rote memorization.

Throughout my career, I have taught at the university level, and worked directly with executives who needed to build fluency for professional contexts. This range has shaped a flexible approach: I adapt each lesson to the student's real goals, whether that's passing a proficiency level exam, staying on top of university coursework, or gaining the confidence to speak Spanish in daily and professional life.

Beyond grammar and vocabulary, I bring a genuine passion for Hispanic culture, helping students not just learn the language, but understand the world it opens up to them.

About the lesson

I use a communicative, task-based method aligned with the CEFR: students practice Spanish by working through real situations (conversation, work, travel), not memorizing isolated rules.

Typical lesson: quick warm-up → new structure with examples → guided practice with in-the-moment correction → free conversation or activity → final feedback.

What sets me apart: 20+ years teaching at university level and to corporate executives, international certifications in Spanish, English and French (DELE, Cambridge, DELF), and experience designing personalized materials based on each student's goals.

My lessons are for: university students, professionals and executives, exam candidates (DELE), and adult learners at any level seeking real fluency and cultural context.
