About Cenfyn
Following my successful studies toward a University of Wales Diploma in Music at Cardiff University I completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Education.
My first teaching position was as a Peripatetic Teacher of Brass and Woodwind Instruments and after two years I taught music in the classroom.
At the same time I took the opportunity to play professional Trumpet of all styles; from Classical to Jazz.
Eventually I was offered the position of Music Director of the Welsh National Theatre Company.
This involved directing, composing, arranging and recording.
My interest in Music Technology developed from this time; creating virtual performances.
This interest grew more toward how traditional music making can be enhanced by Music Technology.
In particular how Music Technology can help and motivate practising musical instruments.

My students will benefit from my many years of experience in developing software to help, and motivate efficient practice.

You will see that:
- A real time beat counter above the music notation will help
keep time.
- Recordings of what should be practised will help tuning whilst
playing along with them.
- Both of the above will be made available at various tempi.
- Difficult sections will be isolated and repeated.
- All pieces will also have accompaniments at the various speeds.
In other words practice sessions will be mapped out for you in the most efficient, understandable and interesting way.

Details
Because of the unique practice tools supplied within the price of a lesson a full hour may not be necessary therefore the lessons can be cut to 20 mins at £10 or 30 mins at £1500.
Times and length of lessons can be indeed be arranged from lesson to lesson.
