About Raina

I am Raina. I have my graduation in politics as my major and journalism and film studies as my minors. I share interests across varied intersections, some very academic (nerdy!) such as public policy, international diplomacy and political journalism, some not at all (an avid fiction reader, movie buff, foodie and floating traveling). I love talking to people because the more I do, the more I realise one has so much to say that's so original, so real, so personal yet so publicly impactful and that's how I like to think of education - it's so uniquely transformative at an individual level whilst it ripples a wider wave of unanimity and change for the good! And that's what I aim to provide in my classes - I like politics primarily because it's so inclusive, we have a bit of everybody, be it in terms of language, ethnicity, race, community, gender, identity, any unit of recognition whatsoever in all paradigms and strategies. When I was a student (I still am, one never really stops being) I wished for this assistance - anybody to say that's it okay not to know it all and you can always start and still get it and there's always time for it - so here I'm for YOU - to help brush the stock and learn the new ones, together!

About the lesson

I believe in creating a space of influx where the students will equally have the respect and the scope of participation because they are central to the course. My duty is not something vague like guiding you towards light. I'm here to assist from seemingly silly things like grammar and sentences and argument construction to more serious business like conception clarification, entrance/exam preparation, supporting original stances, helping you to polish and professionalise your proposals, moral support, last minute doubt clearances, a quick chat over Plato and modernism, 3 AM mail recipient and buster of your mid semester existential crisis and just about anything! My precedence as a teacher comes from the temporal advantage I have (a.k.a I'mjust older than you guys in this field) hence I happen to know the steps to academic deconstruction and annexation, just by a few years earlier than you so I want to help. I want to help you get started, I want to help you get going, I want to help you finish and win the race!
