About Susanne
I have led domestic and international marketing research practices, traveled internationally, raised a family, grown through my church family, and remain an active volunteer in areas that matter most to me.
Poetry allows me to decompress, make sense of unexpected yet welcomed experiences and recording special moments that occurred with others.
In today's world, many forces are at play that can make one anxious and concerned for the future. That's not to say that joy cannot be found all around us - one simply has to be receptive to experience it.
I believe community and connection are essential to a well-balanced life, and that giving back to others is important.
Let me guide you in developing your voice that is yours and yours alone. Many students are caught by surprise at their poetry, writing abilities and the talent they had never tapped into before.

I bring more than two decades of experience writing poetry, but my approach goes well beyond teaching how to put words on a page. I believe poetry can help us discover our individual voice, express what is difficult to say, and see our experiences in new ways.
My poetry is frequently commissioned to celebrate people, relationships, and meaningful occasions. I have also been invited to international retreats and global conferences to lead poetry workshops focused on self-expression, creativity, and stress management.
What sets my tutoring apart is that I meet each person where they are. You do not need to think of yourself as a “poet” or even an experienced writer. Whether you want to strengthen your writing, explore poetry for the first time, or find a more meaningful way to express yourself, I will help you develop your own voice—not teach you to imitate someone else’s.
