Hi, I’m Mohammad Irtifa Mir – and I’m excited to help you learn event management. I’ve been working in the event industry for almost 12 years, handling everything from small private functions to big corporate events—both in-person and online. Over the years, I’ve done it all: event planning, vendor coordination, client meetings, tech setup, data-based decision making, and making sure everything runs smoothly on the big day. I’m not here to just teach theory—I want to share real experiences, useful tips, and the practical side of what actually works in the field. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your skills, I’ll help you understand how to manage events confidently and professionally. I truly enjoy teaching because I know how valuable good guidance can be when you're starting something new. About the lesson

1. My Teaching Techniques and Methods:
With almost 12 years of hands-on experience in event management—both practical and theoretical—I focus on making my classes as real and useful as possible. I believe in learning by doing, so I include a lot of real-life examples from events I’ve managed over the years. I also use interactive tools like group activities, case studies, and mock event planning sessions. My aim is to keep students engaged, help them understand the “why” behind every step, and prepare them for real challenges in the field.
2. The Usual Structure of a Class:
My classes usually follow a simple and effective structure:
• First, we start with the main topic of the day, going over the theory and its real-world relevance.
• Then, we dive into practical work—this could be a group discussion, a case study, or a hands-on planning activity.
• Finally, we end with open Q&A and feedback, so students can clear up doubts and reflect on what they’ve learned.
I also give small assignments or activities to keep the learning going between classes.
3. What Makes Me Different as a Teacher:
What makes me different is that I teach from real experience, not just from books. I’ve managed everything from weddings to corporate events, and I bring those experiences into the classroom. I also guide students on how to build a career in event management—how to network, handle clients, and even start freelancing. My goal is not just to teach but to help students grow with confidence and clarity.
