About Carlos
I tutored students with learning disabilities for two and a half years at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. I taught about 30 students during that time span. Further, I tutored visually challenged students and athlete students during my Doctoral studies work At Florida State University. Most achieved Bachelors Degrees.
I was a college science (Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology) instructor at Tallahassee Community College for classes of about 24 students on average. Many of my students have become dentist, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and medical doctors.

I started tutoring while working on my Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. Then, I was tutoring students with learning disabilities (blind, memory loss, etc.). There, I was trained by the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs' Department of Education on how to address the student’s individual educational needs. I adapted some of the key instructional tools of those lessons during my seven years science instructor at Tallahassee Community College. The tools included, "the most efficient way to read a book by looking at the different parts of it before start reading it". Also, I like to teach by helping the students to organize the way the material is remember and association. Finally, critical thinking is highly important.
